CALL Rules & Settlements
CALL-IT is a social gaming network built on one idea a sportsbook could never offer you: when you win, the crowd wins. There is no house line to beat. Members make CALLs on live outcomes, the crowd Backs a side, and the money the losing side put in is paid out to the side that got it right. This page explains exactly how a CALL is made, how Backing works, how every settlement is calculated, and how money moves in and out.
You must be 21 or older to play on CALL-IT.
Caller, Challenger, Backer.
Every CALL Room has three kinds of members. A Caller opens the room and makes the CALL — a stated prediction on a live, verifiable outcome. A Challenger takes the opposite side. Everyone else is a Backer, choosing the side they believe is right and putting a stake behind it. The Caller and Challenger are full members of their own side — they can’t Back against themselves, and their Backers ride with them.
A CALL is official once these conditions are met:
- ›A Caller and a Challenger are both in the room, on opposite sides.
- ›At least 3 Backers have joined, split across both sides. A one-sided room is not a valid CALL.
- ›Backing closes 15 minutes before the event’s scheduled start — no late money once the pool locks.
Nothing is charged until the event is final. Every stake and fee is a hold, not a transaction, right up to settlement. If a CALL never fills, or the event is cancelled, postponed, or ends in a tie or void, the holds simply release — nothing moves, and there are no refunds to process because nothing was ever taken.
The pool floats. Your share is set by the final crowd at close, not the crowd when you Backed — Backing early into a thin side is an early position that the crowd can grow into. That is true pari-mutuel, and it is intentional.
The room is the level.
There are no subscriptions and no per-action charges — making a CALL, Challenging, and Backing are free. What you choose is the room, and the room sets the stakes. Every Backer picks their own stake inside the room’s range. The Caller and Challenger each pay a one-time CALL-Room Fee to open the room (3× the room’s minimum, split evenly between them).
| Room | Min Back | Max Back | CALL-Room Fee (makers) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rookie | $4 | $12 | $12 · $6 each |
| Grinder | $10 | $40 | $30 · $15 each |
| Enthusiast | $25 | $125 | $75 · $37.50 each |
| VIP | $60 | $360 | $180 · $90 each |
| High Roller | $150 | $1,050 | $450 · $225 each |
| Untouchables | $2,500 | $10,000 | $1,200 flat · $600 each |
Untouchables is the showcase room — a walled table for the biggest stakes. The other five rooms can watch it, but only Untouchables members play in it. Whales play whales, which keeps everyone else protected.
One pool. The crowd pays the crowd.
CALL-IT settles pari-mutuel — the same math a racetrack has used for a century, turned in the player’s favor. Here is the entire model:
- ›The 90 / 5 / 5 split. Every dollar that comes in — every Backer’s stake and every CALL-Room Fee — splits three ways: 90% becomes your Net Stake and goes into the Pot, 5% is the House fee, and 5% funds the Bonus Pool (which pays back out to players — see §9).
- ›One Pot. Both sides’ Net Stakes go into a single pile — the Total Pot. Nothing is pre-carved by side.
- ›The 5% Winner Bonus. Off the top of the Total Pot, 5% is set aside and paid to the winning room’s Caller or Challenger only — a reward for building the room that was right.
- ›The Multiplier. The remaining 95% is the payout pool. Divide it by the winning side’s Total Net Stake to get the Payout Multiplier.
- ›Everyone right gets paid. Each winner receives their own Net Stake × the Multiplier. The losing side’s money is what makes every winner profit.
Because payouts are always the pool divided among the winners, a CALL Room can never pay out more than went in and can never go negative. The house takes its 5% and never once needs a Backer to lose to make money.
Back the crowd, win small. Back the read, win big.
The fewer people on the winning side, the bigger each winner’s multiplier. Nobody sets that number — the crowd sets it by where it stands. Here is the same CALL settled both ways so you can see it:
Cowboys draw the crowd: 30 Backers. The Dolphins are the lonely read: 12 Backers. To keep it simple, say everyone Backs $40.
- ›Each $40 → $36 Net Stake (after the 90/5/5 split).
- ›Cowboys Net Stake: 30 × $36 = $1,080. Dolphins Net Stake: 12 × $36 = $432.
- ›Total Pot = $1,512. After the 5% Winner Bonus ($75.60), the payout pool is $1,436.40.
| If this side wins… | Multiplier | Each Backer gets | Profit on $40 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cowboys (the favorite, 30) | 1.33× | $47.88 | +$7.88 |
| Dolphins (the underdog, 12) | 3.325× | $119.70 | +$79.70 |
Same $40 in. Back the side the room piled onto and you win a steady profit; be right when the crowd was wrong and you win ten times more. On top of this, the winning room’s Caller or Challenger takes the 5% Winner Bonus, and each also earns their own Net Stake × the multiplier.
Many runners, one winning pool.
For events with a full field — horses, drivers, or any race with many possible winners — Backers pledge on whichever runner they pick. When the result is final, only the winning runner’s Backers split the pool, in proportion to their stakes. Field races carry a 15% takeout (tote-standard). If a runner is scratched, the race is cancelled, or nobody Backed the winner, the affected stakes are returned.
Adding value to your Billfold.
You add value by Uploading to your Billfold — by card, debit, or a supported digital method. Every Upload carries one simple fee:
- ›Upload fee: the greater of $3 or 2%. Under $150 the flat $3 applies; at $150 and above it’s a clean 2%. The fee never dips below $3.
- ›Minimum Upload: $25 net credit. Maximum: $15,000 per Upload. You can Upload as often as you like (each Upload throws the fee once).
- ›Uploading cash at a participating SatsPay merchant adds a flat $1 to the merchant, on top of the Upload fee.
- ›Amounts above the standard ceiling can be unlocked with enhanced identity verification.
Uploaded value and Winnings are kept separate.
Your Billfold holds two running balances, and CALL-IT always knows which is which:
- ›Uploaded Balance — the value you add. It’s closed-loop: play it, gift it, tip it, or spend it with merchants inside CALL-IT. It is never paid out to a bank. When you win, your original stake returns here.
- ›Winnings Balance — your profit, and only your profit. This is the one balance that can be paid out to your bank.
You can always re-play your Winnings. When you do, CALL-IT keeps the two tallies straight, so it’s never in doubt how much you hold is cashable.
Getting your Winnings to your bank.
When you’re ready to move your Winnings out, CALL-IT sends them to your bank by ACH from AlêBuca Global Connect, LLC — the company behind CALL-IT. Uploaded value can’t take this exit; only your Winnings Balance is eligible.
Payouts require a verified identity on file (KYC). This is a one-time step that protects your account and keeps CALL-IT compliant — and it’s the reason your Winnings are yours to move with confidence.
The Leaderboard rewards being right.
Alongside every cash payout, a season-long Backer Leaderboard tracks pure skill at Backing — and it feeds a Bonus Pool that pays back out to the members at the top. It’s scored the same for every room, because the skill is in the read, not the size of the stake:
- ›Win a Back: 6 points. Even a losing Back scores 2 points — your season keeps moving through a cold streak.
- ›Streak bonus: three correct Backs in a row arm a double on your very next Back (12 for a win, 4 for a loss).
- ›Making a CALL never breaks your streak — only going quiet does.
The Bonus Pool is funded by the 5% skimmed off every CALL, and standing on the Leaderboard is how it’s shared. Full Bonus Program payout details are published as each season is finalized.
The ground rules.
- ›You must be 21 or older, and one account per person.
- ›Outcomes are settled from official, verifiable results. A CALL only settles once the event is final and in the books.
- ›Voids, ties, cancellations, and postponements release all holds — no charge, no payout.
- ›Manipulating rooms, colluding, or using more than one account is prohibited and can forfeit stakes and Winnings.
- ›Play should always be fun. See Responsible Gaming for tools and support.
